This minor release updates Audita's configuration, LLM, and release libraries
and raises the minimum Go version for source builds to 1.26.0. Existing Audita
configuration files, PromptKit profiles, and command behavior require no
    migration.

    Changes

    • ConfigKit is updated from v0.5.0 to v0.7.1, with improvements to configuration
loading, resolution, provenance, and inspection efficiency.
    • PromptKit is updated from v0.12.0 to v0.14.0, reducing avoidable allocations in
preparation, rendering, and execution. Audita retains its existing schemas,
validation, retry and repair budgets, and resilient processing behavior.
The libraries' new discovery and configuration-comparison APIs remain unused
      by Audita.
    • ReleaseKit is updated from v0.1.0 to v0.4.1. The local release launcher now
invokes the module-selected Go tool, and CI selects the tool from the tagged
module metadata. Prepared-checkout delivery reuses the tag checkout already
verified during CI bootstrap. Source publication still completes at a
successful tag push; Linux binary delivery remains asynchronous.
    • Release builds and CI use Go 1.26.8, with corresponding runtime attribution
updated. The source-build minimum is tracked separately from that build
      toolchain patch version.

    Upgrading from v3.0.1

Source builders must upgrade from the previous Go 1.25.5 minimum to Go 1.26.0
    or newer
, including any build environments still using Go 1.25. Maintainers
should follow the updated release procedure for toolchain setup,
    publication, and delivery recovery.

Go module consumers must use the v3 module path. For example:
    go install gitea.maximumdirect.net/eric/audita/v3/cmd/audita@v3.1.0. This
aligns the module path with the v3 release line. Downloaded binaries and
commands run from a source checkout are unaffected.

Users of distributed Linux binaries need no Go installation. No configuration,
profile, transcript-format, or command-behavior migration is required for this
    release.
